My
name is Alec Hanock and although I was born a Californian, I was raised as a
hockey player. While most other kids in Southern California found peace
in the ocean, I found my home in the ice rink. I am now currently playing for UMBC. For as long as I can remember I have been
playing hockey. Hockey is a deep passion
of mine and it’s like a drug running through my veins. The feeling of skating on a freshly cut sheet
of ice is unlike anything else. On the
ice is where I belong.

We both have found our home in a sporting arena, so I can relate to the feelings you get when you are on the ice.

ReplyDeleteI dig it, man. I can totally relate to that. Music is my narc of choice. But, good luck on the season though, bro!
Alec, totally follow what you mean when you step onto the ice. There's no feeling like that brisk air skating around the ice. Can't wait for the season to start for us. Let's get it done out there bud starting with Sienna.
ReplyDeleteGood Luck with your season, and am glad we are both involved in UMBC sports in some way
ReplyDeleteI honestly understand where you come from since I did find my home in a sporting arena same as Erika. I'm happy that you are able to continue to play hockey.
ReplyDeleteI completely understand your passion for hockey. Track and Field is like a drug running through MY veins, and I was on the UMBC track team a couple years ago.
ReplyDeleteI also find peace on the ice being that i also play ice hockey. I like your definition of home.
ReplyDeleteI can say the same thing with finding peace on the court as you do on the rink. Sports have always been a part of my life and i played hockey as well growing up. Go FLYERS !
ReplyDeleteI wish I had played hockey when I was younger because I am so into it now. Never played, just watched. You should let me know when the first game is.
ReplyDeleteI am always fascinated with various sports. I find it ironic and cool that you are from California but chose to take up Ice Hockey.I wonder if you will have any games around the area, I would like to attend. Look out for our home meet ( Track and Field)!
